Your Asthma Attack Cause - Do You Know What It Is?

Would you like to know your asthma attack cause or causes? Is it even possible to know what they are? You might be under the mistaken assumption that since you have asthma, you are just going to have to live with having random asthma attacks. Not true! It will probably take a little detective work, but you can figure out what is causing your asthma attacks.

Every Asthma Attack Has an Asthma Attack Cause

You see, every time you have an attack, there is an asthma attack cause to go along with it. Just having asthma wasn't the cause. Random asthma attacks don't just happen because you have asthma. You won't have an attack if there was nothing to cause it. So determining what is causing your attacks will give you an opportunity to avoid that cause.

What Does Having Asthma Mean?

Having asthma means that your airways are way more sensitive to specific things or situations than if you didn't have asthma. So when trying to figure out your asthma attack cause or causes, you will need to determine what things your airways are overly sensitive to. Those things will be called your asthma triggers.

Determining Your Personal Asthma Triggers

Unfortunately, there is no way to know what your asthma triggers are until after you have had an asthma attack. This is where the detective work comes in. Every time you have an attack, you will need to keep track of what you were doing, eating, feeling, pretty much everything before you had your attack.

Then check out all the possible things could be your asthma attack cause from the asthma triggers page and try to match one of those with what you were doing before your attack.

It might take awhile to narrow it down, but you should eventually be able to determine something that is common to all of your asthma attacks. Something to keep in mind is that you could have more than one thing on your list. This will make it a little harder, but writing everything down will help.

What Are Your Asthma Treatment Options?

Determining your triggers and then avoiding them is your best asthma prevention.

You basically have two treatment options when it comes to your asthma:

  • Take prescription asthma medications - these medications do not attempt to cure your asthma. They do attempt to limit or control your asthma symptoms. Most people have to take at least two different types of medications.
  • Use a natural asthma treatment - natural asthma treatments and remedies will actually work to cure your asthma instead of just trying to control your symptoms. And they do it without any dangerous side effects to worry about.
